Buscott Woodworking were commissioned to design, manufacture and fit this stunning dressing room, executed using a combination of painted Tulipwood, solid Walnut, walnut veneer and solid Oak. The reflection of the arched stained glass window which we also produced for this client adds a real ecclesiastic feel to the space. The wardrobes runs floor to ceiling left and right, with a chest of drawers dividing them.
The skirting boards were very high in this particular property, so to utilise the space to a maximum without putting the wardrobe on a 245mm high plinth, we picked up the lines of the mouldings on the skirting and then routed small grooves horizontally along the face of the doors, so as not disrupt the symmetry of the original skirting. The dovetailed drawers are solid walnut, set within a walnut veneered cabinet. The doors are solid tulipwood with solid oak handles running the full vertical length.
